Holocaust survivors and Museum staff read the names of those who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum joins the rest of the nation in commemorating the tragic events of September 11, 2001. In keeping with our mission of remembrance, Holocaust survivors who volunteer at the Museum are reading the names of those murdered in the terrorist attacks. Museum staff and additional volunteers are participating throughout the day as well.

Over the years, our Holocaust survivors have touched and inspired thousands with their personal accounts of suffering and loss, and of hope and renewal. They are a symbol of the importance of bearing witness, and we can think of no more appropriate and meaningful way for the Museum to mark this solemn day.
