Protein Microcharacterization

The following equipment and supplies are available for use by NIEHS scientists in conducting their research. The equipment and supply capabilities are listed for easy reference.

The Protein Microcharacterization Core Facility uses the following equipment systems to support intramural research projects.

Genomic Solutions Progest System

Automated gel plug digest system enabling the simultaneous enzymatic digestion of 96 protein bands or spots.

Bio-Rad Fluor-S Imager

Gel imaging station for documentation of Coomassie, silver, and fluorescently stained gels.
The PMCF also shares instrumentation with the Mass Spectrometry Group (http://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/lsb/mass/instrumentation.cfm).
