PHILADELPHIA – The Internal Revenue Service today announced special tax relief for residents of New Castle County, Delaware, the Presidential Disaster Area struck by Tropical Storm Henri on Sept. 15, 2003.

• The FTD Penalty Waiver Period for employment and excise tax deposits is Sept. 15-29, 2003.
• The Extension Period for returns and other tax payments is Sept. 15 through Nov. 18, 2003.
• The Disaster Designation for this area is “Tropical Storm Henri” – taxpayers mark certain relief-related forms with this designation.
