Initiative to Education State Officials and Policy Makers about Priority Health Issues Related to the Prevention and Control of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
The purpose of the program is to fund national organizations to provide education on accurate, comprehensive, and timely public health information for state Governors, legislatures, policy makers, and those involved in state efforts to protect the public’s health.

Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS), Limited Competition (U01) (National Institutes of Health)
The MACS is a multi-site prospective epidemiology cohort study of men who have sex with men who are either infected with HIV or at increased risk for such infection.

Integrated Preclinical/Clinical Program for HIV Topical Microbicides (U19) (National Institutes of Health)
The purpose of this FOA is to support integrated and iterative multi-project, multi-disciplinary preclinical and exploratory clinical studies with the goal of advancing safe, novel topical microbicides and microbicide combination strategies for the prevention of sexual transmission of HIV.

Packaging Proven HIV Behavioral Interventions for Use with High Risk Populations of Acquiring HIV (REP 10) (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
The purpose of the program is to enhance the capacity of local HIV prevention organizations to implement and sustain effective and feasible behavioral interventions by making intervention materials and training more widely available.

Methods for Prevention Packages Program (MP3) (R01) (National Institutes of Health)
NIAID and the NIMH invite applications for multidisciplinary research programs that (1) devise optimal HIV prevention packages (combination interventions) for specific populations, (2) design clinical studies to rigorously examine the safety and efficacy of these “packages” in the target population, and (3) perform pilot studies to demonstrate that the proposed prevention package is acceptable to the target population and the study design is appropriate and feasible.
