Astrobiology: Life in the Universe

Astrobiology Science and Technology for Exploring Planets (ASTEP)

  1. Focus Groups

The NAI has recently revitalized its Focus Group program – initiating new Focus Groups, and regrouping and modifying existing groups, to address current priorities in astrobiology. This section of the website has been updated to reflect these changes – introducing new focus groups and presenting the objectives and planned activities of groups which have redefined themselves. Additional information will be added as new groups are organized.

The membership of NAI Focus Groups is inter-team and community-wide. Each addresses a specific topic judged to be of particular significance for advancing the field of astrobiology. The Focus Groups are established from proposals submitted to the NAI and stimulate new areas of research, promote long-distance collaborations, and contribute to astrobiology space missions.
