2008 IRMCO Awards PresentedGSA # 10485 April 15, 2008 WASHINGTON – Curtis Turner, a program manager with the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Joint Strike Fighter Team of the U.S. Department of the Air Force, received the 2008 Interagency Resources Management Awards today at the 2008 IRMCO Conference in Cambridge, Maryland. Sponsored by the U.S. General Services Administration, IRMCO is attended by executives and managers representing every federal agency, academia, state, local, and international government organizations. IRMCO is an annual forum that addresses the most important business and information technology topics and issues facing government management communities today. Mr. Turner won the individual award for his efforts in increasing customer satisfaction, website usability, citizen outreach, and partner involvement for GovBenefits.gov, the official benefits website of the U.S. government. The Joint Strike Fighter Team won the team award for its 24/7 Electronic Warfare Support Facility. The IRMCO award is given annually to those who have demonstrated exceptional ability to operate across organizational boundaries to improve government services to citizens.
