This Division of Developmental Disability Advocacy protects and advocates for people with developmental disabilities. It ensures that patients, residents, and clients within developmental disabilities facilities and programs receive adequate care and an enhanced quality of life. The Division elicits, receives, responds to, and resolves complaints from patients, their families, other interested citizens, public officials, and government agencies related to conditions in the state’s developmental disabilities facilities.
