Buy American Act Report

Pursuant to section 645 of Division F, Title VI, of Public Law 108-199, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2004, the United States International Trade Commission (Commission) makes the following report covering fiscal year 2004.

(a) The Commission made no acquisitions directly from entities that manufacture the articles, materials, or supplies outside of the United States in that fiscal year.

(b)(1) The Commission expended $ 72,881.06 on purchases of articles, materials, or supplies that were manufactured outside of the United States;
(2) The Commission is aware of no waivers granted by the President under the Trade Agreements Act (19 U.S.C. 2501 et seq.) with respect to such articles, materials, or supplies under the Buy American Act (41 U.S.C. 10a et seq.); and
(3) The Commission spent a total of $ 1,356,521 to purchase articles, materials, or supplies in fiscal year 2004. Of this total, $ 1,283,643, or 94.6 percent, was spent on goods manufactured in the United States, versus $ 72,881, or 5.4 percent, which was spent on goods manufactured outside of the United States.
