SUBJECT: Intermediate Ethics Courses in Washington, DC


The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is pleased to announce three new intermediate ethics training courses for experienced ethics practitioners. Each course will be offered twice in the January/February time frame in Washington, DC. Ethics officials are invited to attend any or all of the scheduled courses. The intermediate course schedule is as follows:

Intermediate Post Employment 01/26/99 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Intermediate 18 U.S.C. § 208 01/27/99 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Exemptions and Waivers Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 208 01/27/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Intermediate 18 U.S.C. § 208 02/03/99 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Exemptions and Waivers Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 208 02/03/99 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Intermediate Post Employment 02/04/99 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

A brief description of each of these courses is attached.

All of the above courses will be offered free of charge at the Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW., Washington, DC. Advance registration is required. Each person planning to attend MUST register by faxing a completed registration form to OGE by Thursday, January 21, 1999. Registration will be handled on a first-come basis and each course is limited to 40 participants. NO TELEPHONE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Registration forms are attached. OGE will confirm each student's registration by return fax prior to the date of the workshop.
