Report Description/Introductory Text: Year in Trade 2001 summarizes U.S. trade developments in multilateral, regional, and bilateral trade agreements, notably WTO, OECD, NAFTA, APEC, FTAA, including the WTO ministerial meeting launching the Doha Round of multilateral trade negotiations (Doha Development Agenda). This report also reviews trade events with major partners, notably Canada, European Union (EU), Mexico, Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Brazil. It also reviews U.S. trade laws, regulations, and programs during 2001, including U.S. antidumping measures involving hot rolled steel from Japan.
