SPECIAL PROJECTS


1.  Review of outside employment by certain medical personnel at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This will be a review of outside employment by certain medical personnel, largely at the Department's field offices. This will include a determination of whether the Department should require the prior approval of such outside employment by regulation supplementing the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch.

2.  Review of selected agencies' management of their ethics programs for advisory committees.

This will be a review of the effectiveness of selected agencies in providing ethics services to their advisory committees. This will include a review of the financial disclosure system, education and training, and advice and counseling.
