SUBJECT:  Availability of the Informal Advisory Letters and
          Memoranda and Formal Opinions of the United States Office
          of Government Ethics for the first installment of 2000


     The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) has placed the Informal
Advisory Letters and Memoranda and Formal Opinions of the United
States Office of Government Ethics for the first nine months of
2000 on the OGE web site at www.usoge.gov.  These new materials
which include letters and memoranda (guidance) issued by OGE from
January  1, 2000, through September 30, 2000, represent the first
installment of the 2000 guidance.  This guidance will be available
for viewing or downloading and can be found under the advisory
opinion section.  

     The January through September guidance will not be published
by the Government Printing Office until the guidance for the entire
year has been prepared for publication.  You will be notified when
all of the guidance for 2000 is available for purchase.
