SUBJECT: Public Financial Disclosure Review Workshops in Washington, DC - January 22 and Feb 4, 1998


The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) will conduct two identical four-hour training workshops on Public Financial Disclosure Review in Washington, DC on Thursday, January 22 and Wednesday, February 4, 1998. These training workshops will focus on the skills and knowledge required to review and analyze the Executive Branch Public Financial Disclosure Report (SF 278) to ensure technical accuracy, identify potential conflicts of interest and determine appropriate remedial action. These are the same highly praised workshops that OGE conducted last year.

This training is offered FREE to any Federal Government agency; however, advance registration is required. Each person planning to attend MUST register by faxing a completed registration form to OGE by January 15, 1998. Registration will be handled on a first-come basis and each class size will be limited to 40 participants. NO TELEPHONE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Registration forms are attached. OGE will confirm each person's registration by fax prior to the date of the course. Due to the volume of registrations, we ask that registrants NOT follow up on confirmations.

Please note that this training is targeted at agency officials who have Government ethics responsibilities; it is not to be used by agencies in fulfilling their annual training requirements for employees.
