Career Support Services
The Career Support Service section, formerly Layoff-Recall, provides King County employees a variety of programs and services to enhance employment and career development. With the exception of the Referral and Placement program, services are available to all King County employees. The Referral and Placement program is available to layoff employees only.
Career Support Services programs and services include but are not limited to:
Employee and Career Development
- Employment application assistance
- Resume writing
- Cover letter
- Interview preparation
Assessment and Training Program
- Skill/software assessment
- Software and computer training
Referral and Placement Program
Includes all above services, for layoff employees only
- Priority job search assistance
- Priority placement assistance/referral to King County positions
- Mentorship
