My Story :60 Radio PSA Transcript

Script (:60):

Music up and under.

Woman:

I’m 54 years old. Mother of three.

For years I’ve experienced shortness of breath. It was holding me back, making it hard to do some of the things that were important to me and my kids.

Then I heard about something called COPD. It’s a serious lung disease that, as time goes by, makes it hard to breathe. And COPD is the fourth leading cause of death.

That got my attention.

So I talked to my doctor and took the simple breathing test. I found out I have it. I have COPD. But now that I know, I am taking steps to make my breathing easier again. And I’m getting back to doing more things with my family. Doing things I want to do.
