Abstract   The Genome Database is the official central repository for genomic mapping data resulting from the Human Genome Initiative, and continues to be updated. GDB comprises descriptions of the following types of objects: regions of the human genome, maps of the human genome (displayed with a graphic viewer), and variations within the human genome (mutations, polymorphisms).
