Health Care Quality

• Disparities in health care quality are staying the same or increasing.

The variables on the horizontal axis are: Black vs. White (n = 16). Asian vs. White (n = 16), American Indian or Alaska Native (AI/AN) vs. White (n = 16), Hispanic vs Non-Hispanic White (n = 16), and Poor vs High Income (n = 17), where n is the number of core measures. The vertical axis shows percentage of core measures improving, staying the same, or worsening.

The approximate percentage for each variable is as follows:

Black vs. White (n = 16): worsening—6% (1), same—56% (9), improving—38% (6).
Asian vs. White (n = 16): worsening—19% (3), same—50% (8), improving—31% (5).
AI/AN vs. White (n = 16): worsening—24% (4), same—38% (6), improving—38% (6).
Hispanic vs. Non-Hispanic White (n = 16): worsening—19% (3), same—38% (6), improving—43% (7).
Poor vs. High Income (n = 17): worsening—41% (7), same—24% (4), improving—35% (6).
