State and Local Technology Resources for Wisconsin

This Disability & Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) provides training, information and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessible information technology (IT) to people in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Works to prevent the barriers and capitalize on the opportunities presented by current and emerging information and telecommunication technologies, in order to create a world that is as accessible and usable as possible for as many people as possible.

Works to improve the outcomes and results for children and youth with disabilities through the use of assistive technology to access school programs and curriculum.

Works to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities and to promote public awareness of the needs and abilities of people with disabilities.

TAP provides assistance to low-income persons in Wisconsin who are deaf or hard of hearing so they can receive TTY or other items to assist them in communicating with people who are hearing.

Program helps people with disabilities buy specialized equipment they need in order to use basic telephone services.

Provides information on selecting, funding, installing and using assistive technology.
