NRC TO MEET
WITH WOLF CREEK NUCLEAR OPERATING CO. |

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission staff will meet with representatives of Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating
Co. on Thursday, April 18, to discuss the results of the agency's annual assessment
of safety performance at Wolf Creek Nuclear Station. The facility is located
near Burlington, Kansas, and is operated by WCNOC.
The meeting, which will be open to the public for observation, is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Coffey County Courthouse, 110 South 6th St., Burlington. NRC staff will be available before the meeting is adjourned to answer any questions from the public. A letter sent from NRC Region IV to WCNOC addresses plant performance during the period April 1 to December 31, 2001, and will serve as the basis for the meeting discussion.
