ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS TO MEET IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND, ON APRIL 5 - 7 |

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting in Rockville, Maryland, on April 5 - 7, to discuss the license renewal application for the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 in Georgia, safety issues associated with the use of mixed oxide and high burn-up fuels, and an exemption request for the South Texas nuclear power plant, among other issues. The meeting, most of which is open to the public, will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency's Two White Flint North building at, 11545 Rockville Pike, beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day.
