NOTE TO EDITORS:

A press release issued on March 23 erroneously announced that NRC had amended its Rules of Practice to give Federally-recognized Indian tribes the option of participating in hearings as an "interested governmental participant," rather than requiring that they intervene as a party to the proceeding.

The Commission has not yet acted on this amendment. The March 23 announcement has been removed from the NRC Internet web page.
