NOTE TO EDITORS:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled meetings of two of its subcommittees in Rockville, Maryland. The planning and procedures subcommittee will meet on April 6, followed by a meeting of the reliability and probabilistic risk assessment subcommittee on April 7.
At the planning and procedures subcommittee meeting, members will discuss proposed ACRS activities and the status of a new appointment.
The subcommittee on reliability and probabilistic risk assessment will discuss the NRC staff's proposed approach for revising the safety goal policy statement.
The meetings will be held in room T-2B1 of the agency's Two White Flint North building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The first meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and last until the conclusion of business. The second meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last until noon.
Other aspects of the meetings, including opportunities for comment, will be described in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
