NOTE TO EDITORS:
A subcommittee of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting on December 2 in Rockville, Maryland.
The meeting, which will be open to public observation, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Room T-2B3, of the NRC's Two White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The Subcommittee on Plant Operations will review the NRC staff's Safety Evaluation Report on the Boiling Water Reactor Owners' Group Utility Resolution Guidance to address emergency core cooling system suction strainer blockage as well as other technical issues related to strainer blockage, debris generation and transport.
Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, will be described in a Notice of Meeting published in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
