Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in King of Prussia, Pa., have appointed Michele G. Evans to be the new senior resident inspector at the Salem nuclear plant in Hancocks Bridge, N.J.

Ms. Evans joined the NRC in July 1984 as a reactor engineer/operations inspector in the Region I Division of Reactor Safety. During her tenure with the agency, she has served as a resident inspector at Limerick Units 1 and 2 in Limerick, Pa., and at Peach Bottom Units 1 and 2, in Delta, Pa. She most recently was the senior resident inspector at the Three Mile Island nuclear plant in Middletown, Pa.

Ms. Evans received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration in Quality Science from Drexel University.

Ms. Evans, her husband and two children live in Kennett Square, Pa.
