Important Security Information

To ensure the safety of all LaunchFest visitors, all visitors 16 and older are required to possess government-issued photo identification, such as a driver's license or military ID. Minors (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian. Foreign nationals must possess a valid visa or passport.

All persons and articles are subject to inspection. Hand-carried items shall not exceed 8"x11"x4" in size and shall not contain contraband. Diaper bags and medical bags will be permitted but will be inspected by security.

Please do not bring pets, firearms, knives, weapons, munitions, chemicals, illegal drugs/substances, alcohol, general bags, backpacks, briefcases, portfolios, shoulder bags, wheeled bags, coolers/hard-sided containers or any other contraband.

Violators will be subject to denial of access or arrest.

Getting Around

Free shuttles will run continuously, all day to ensure the most enjoyable LaunchFest experience. Park at one of our satellite parking locations and shuttles will take you to the NASA Goddard facilities. Shuttles on Center will transport you to all of the exciting programs and events throughout the day. Signage and guides on the shuttles will help you determine the best stop for a particular activity. Visit the Directions and Parking page for more information.

First Aid and Safety

A First Aid station will be located on the mall. In the event of severe weather or imminent danger, sirens will sound to signal all visitors to seek shelter in the nearest building.

Rain Locations

In the event of heavy rain, most outdoor events will move into the nearest building.

Restrooms

Portable facilities will be available on the mall and restrooms in buildings housing activities and events.

Lost Person Protocol

Immediately report a lost person to the nearest LaunchFest staff member. Staff will contact the appropriate authorities, which will further assist you. If you have a cell phone, you may also call NASA Goddard Security at 301-286-8661.

Information Services

Need information or help finding your way around? Stop by the conveniently located Information Services booths near Building 32 and on the mall and our volunteers will be happy to assist you.

Food
