ACRS SUBCOMMITTEE ON SEVERE ACCIDENT MANAGEMENT TO MEET IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND, ON NOVEMBER 15 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting of its subcommittee on severe accident management on November 15 in Rockville, Maryland. The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency's Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, starting at 8:30 a.m. The subcommittee will continue its review of the agency's Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research severe accident management research program to gather information for use by the ACRS in preparing its annual report to the Commission on NRC safety research. In addition, the subcommittee will continue to review the activities of the NRC staff and the nuclear industry on control room habitability. The subcommittee will hear presentations by and hold discussions with representatives of the NRC staff, Nuclear Energy Institute and other interested parties.
