NRC ADVISORY SUBCOMMITTEE TO MEET IN ROCKVILLE, MD., ON OCT. 18 TO DISCUSS SPENT FUEL POOL SAFETY The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has scheduled a meeting of its subcommittee on reactor fuels on October 18 in Rockville, Maryland. The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be held in Room T-2B1 of the agency's Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The subcommittee will discuss the NRC staff's effort on the draft report of a technical study of spent fuel pool accident risk at decommissioning nuclear power plants and other related matters.
