NRC ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON REACTOR SAFEGUARDS TO MEET IN ROCKVILLE, MD., ON OCTOBER 19 - 20 TO DISCUSS LICENSE RENEWAL The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has scheduled a meeting of its subcommittee on nuclear plant license renewal on October 19-20 in Rockville, Maryland, to discuss, among other issues, the Generic Aging Lessons Learned ("GALL") Report. The meeting, which will be open to the public, will be held in Room T-2B1 of the agency's Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, beginning at 8 a.m. each day. On October 19, the subcommittee will review drafts of the Standard Review Plan for license renewal and Sections 2, 3 and 4 of the GALL Report. On the following day, it will review drafts of the remainder of the report, the associated Regulatory Guide and the Nuclear Energy Institute's industry guidelines for implementing the requirements of the NRC's license renewal rule.
