NOTE TO EDITORS: DATE, LOCATION CHANGED FOR NRC CHAIRMAN RICHARD A. MESERVE'S PRESS AVAILABILITY IN LAS VEGAS

Dr. Richard A. Meserve, Chairman of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, will be available to speak to the news media at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the Yucca Mountain Science Center, 4101 Meadows Lane, Las Vegas.

The previously announced date, time and location were Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the McCarran International Airport. The change was made because of the unavailability of a previously scheduled room at McCarran.

At the press availability, Dr. Meserve will answer questions from interested news media on topics affecting Yucca Mountain and the NRC's role and activities regarding the site.
