Note to Editors: Name Change for Office of State Programs

The NRC's Office of State Programs has changed its name to the Office of State and Tribal Programs. The new name reflects heightened tribal government interest in multiple areas of NRC jurisdiction, including high-level radioactive waste transportation and disposal, uranium recovery, reactor operations, and dry cask storage. The office will be the primary contact for state and tribal governments regarding NRC's regulatory policies and issues.
