NRC NAMES NEW RESIDENT INSPECTOR AT BRAIDWOOD NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Lisle, Illinois, have announced the assignment of Nirodh Shah as the agency's Resident Inspector at the Braidwood Nuclear Power Station in Braidwood, Illinois. Shah, a NRC employee since 1990, began his duties at the plant in August. Before his recent assignment, Shah worked in the agency's regional office in Lisle, Illinois, as a reactor engineer and plant support inspector. Prior to joining the NRC, he worked at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in Long Island, New York, in the Health Physics Department. Shah earned a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering and health physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He and his wife, Priya, live in Woodridge, Illinois. Shah joins Senior Resident Inspector Charles Phillips at Braidwood. They can be reached at the plant at (815) 458-2852. # # # |
