NRC NAMES NEW SENIOR RESIDENT INSPECTOR AT WATTS BAR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Atlanta have announced the assignment of Jonathan Bartley as the new Senior Resident Inspector at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City, Tennessee.

Mr. Bartley joined the NRC in March 1991 as a Region II operator licensing examiner in Atlanta, Georgia, and administered examinations at General Electric, Westinghouse, and Babcock & Wilcox reactor plants. For the past five years, Bartley has worked as a Resident Inspector at the Farley Nuclear Plant in Columbia, Alabama. Prior to joining the NRC, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Albuquerque as a nuclear trained officer and as a technical instructor at Naval Submarine School. Bartley has a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University.

Bartley joins NRC Resident Inspector Dan Rich and Site Secretary Linda Chattin at the Watts Bar plant. The NRC inspectors at Watts Bar can be reached at 423-365-5487.
