NRC NAMES NEW RESIDENT INSPECTOR AT MONTICELLO NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Lisle, Illinois, have announced the assignment of Dan Kimble as the agency's Resident Inspector at the Monticello Nuclear Power Plant in Monticello, Minnesota. Kimble began his duties with the NRC on July 17. Prior to joining the NRC, Kimble worked at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge site in Tennessee as an operations engineer at the High Flux Isotope Reactor. Prior to that position, he worked as an operator and engineer for: Consumers Energy at the Palisades, Michigan, nuclear power plant; Public Service Electric and Gas Co. at the Salem, New Jersey, plant; and Wisconsin Electric Power Co. at the Point Beach, Wisconsin, plant. Kimble has a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering from Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a member of the American Nuclear Society and is a licensed professional engineer in Michigan and Tennessee. He lives in Big Lake, Minnesota.
