NRC to Discuss Performance at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Plant

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with representatives of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant next Thursday to discuss the results of the agency's latest Plant Performance Review for the facility. The plant, which is located in Lusby, Md., is operated by Baltimore Gas and Electric Company.

Issuance of the reviews was announced in NRC news release 00-059 on April 5 - www.nrc.gov/OPA/gmo/nrarcv/00-059.html. The Plant Performance Review letter can be found on the agency's web site at: www.nrc.gov/OPA/ppr/317ppr3.html.

The meeting, which will be open to the public for observation, will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Education Center at the Calvert Cliffs site, 1650 Calvert Cliffs Parkway, in Lusby. At its conclusion, NRC staff will be available to answer questions from interested observers.
