The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has issued its Augmented Inspection Team report on the February 15 steam generator tube failure at the Indian Point 2 nuclear power plant in Buchanan, N.Y.

The team of NRC inspectors reviewed what happened during the event and the response of the plant's operator, Consolidated Edison Company of New York. The team presented its findings at a public meeting in Buchanan on March 29.
