NRC, Washington Hospital Center to Discuss Ownership Change Nuclear materials licensing issues related to a change in the control and ownership of Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., will be discussed by Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff and representatives of the medical facility on Wednesday, April 12. The meeting is scheduled to begin 1 p.m. in the Public Meeting Room at the NRC's Region I office in King of Prussia, Pa. It will be open to the public. MedStar Health, the operator of the hospital, announced in February that it had reached a partnership agreement with Georgetown University Medical Center. Under the transaction, which is expected to be finalized by July 1, there will be a sharing of services offered by the organizations. The NRC staff is interested in how the agreement would affect those nuclear medicine services it regulates. # |
