NRC TO DISCUSS LATEST PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOR PALO VERDE NUCLEAR PLANT The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with officials of Arizona Public Service Co. to discuss the latest Plant Performance Review results for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, a three-unit nuclear power plant the company operates about 75 miles west of Phoenix. The public meeting will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, in the Energy Information Center Auditorium at the Palo Verde site. The meeting is open for public observation, and NRC officials will be available afterward to answer questions. Plant Performance Reviews are used to evaluate safety performance information and identify any changes in plant performance so the NRC can allocate inspection resources appropriately. The text of the PPR letter is available from the NRC Office of Public Affairs and has been posted on the NRC website at: www.nrc.gov/OPA/ppr. ### |
