NRC Names New Resident Inspector at Lasalle Nuclear Power Plant Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Lisle, Illinois, have announced the assignment of Paul Krohn as the agency's Resident Inspector at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant in Marseilles, Illinois. Krohn, a NRC employee since 1996, began his duties at the plant in August. Before his recent assignment, Krohn was the Resident Inspector at the Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant in Welch, Minnesota. Prior to joining the NRC, he worked for Lockheed Martin Inc. as a non-destructive testing development engineer at Knolls Atomic Nuclear Power Laboratory in Schenectady, N.Y. He also was a shift supervisor and nuclear plant engineer for General Electric at the U.S. Naval Nuclear Submarine Prototype Power Plant in West Milton, N.Y. Krohn earned a bachelor's degree in marine engineering from the State University of New York's Maritime College, and a master's in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. He also has a professional engineers license from the state of New York. Krohn, his wife Mary, and two children live in Aurora, Illinois. Krohn joins Senior Resident Inspector Eric Duncan at LaSalle.
