New NRC Region III Public Affairs Officer Pam Alloway-Mueller, previously a public affairs specialist at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, has returned to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Region III as a public affairs officer. She replaces Angela Greenman who left the agency in August. While with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Alloway-Mueller worked with news media covering the space program and served as a Mission Control Center commentator during various space shuttle missions. She was with NASA from 1988 until 1992. She served as a public affairs officer for NRC Region III in 1993 and then returned to NASA. Prior to joining NASA in 1988, Alloway-Mueller was a reporter for newspapers in Texas and Kansas. She has a master's degree in American literature from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.
