NRC Assigns New Resident Inspector at Ginna Nuclear Plant Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in King of Prussia, Pa., have selected Christopher Welch as the new resident inspector at the Ginna nuclear power plant near Rochester, N.Y. Most recently, Mr. Welch was a reactor engineer in the NRC Region I Office. He joined the NRC in 1997. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant chief test engineer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, N.H. Mr. Welch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Mr. Welch joins Senior Resident Inspector Ho Nieh at Ginna.
