I-98-92
August 3, 1998
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff has selected Jennifer G. England as the new resident inspector at the Indian Point 2 nuclear plant in Buchanan, NY. She joins Senior Resident Inspector Robert Temps and resident inspector Scott Schwind at the site.
Each U.S. commercial nuclear plant has at least two NRC resident inspectors. They serve as the agency's eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring major work projects and interfacing with plant workers and the public.
Mrs. England joined the NRC's Region I office in 1997 as a reactor engineer in the Division of Reactor Projects.
Before joining the agency, Mrs. England worked for Lockheed Martin at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Schenectady, NY, as a thermal hydraulic engineer and a nuclear plant engineer for the S8G naval nuclear prototype and reactor safeguards systems. Mrs. England has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Rutgers University. She lives with her husband and son in Northvale, NJ.
The Indian Point 2 resident inspectors can be reached at 914/739-9360.
