NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received two reports from its Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste on technical issues. The reports, in the form of letters, provide comments on high-level radioactive waste disposal in geologic repositories and probabilistic risk-assessment methods in the NRC high-level radioactive waste program.
