U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Atlanta have announced the assignment of Eugene Guthrie as a resident inspector at the Brunswick nuclear power plant near Southport, North Carolina.
Before joining the NRC, Guthrie worked at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory as a shift supervisor and nuclear plant engineer. He joined the NRC in January 1997 as a reactor engineer in the NRC's region office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and is part of the agency's Resident Inspector Development Program. Guthrie received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State Univeristy of New York at Buffalo and also attended the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida.
Guthrie joins NRC Senior Resident Inspector Charles Patterson and Resident Inspector Eva Brown at the Brunswick plant. The NRC inspectors at Brunswick can be reached at 910-457-9531.
