The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with officials of Northeast Utilities on Tuesday afternoon, July 1, at 1 p.m. in the Leland F. Sillin Training Center, at the Millstone site in Waterford, Ct. This is the latest in a series of periodic meetings to discuss schedules and progress toward recovery of the Millstone units. Topics will include the status of restart activities, the ICAVP, and the employee concerns program. This meeting is open to the public for observation only.
At 7 p.m, that evening, the NRC staff will update the public on the status of the Millstone recovery efforts. NRC staff will present an overview of findings from the most recent NRC inspection report. NU representatives also will be available to respond to plant specific issues. The evening meeting will be held in the Senior Citizen's Meeting Room at the Municipal Complex on Route 85 in Waterford.
