AT DIABLO CANYON NUCLEAR PLANT
Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials at the Region IV office in Arlington, Texas, have announced the assignment of David Proulx as the senior resident inspector at the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant at Avila Beach, Calif.
Mr. Proulx joined the NRC in July 1990 as a project inspector at the former Region V office in Walnut Creek, Calif. From March 1991 through September 1995, he served as a resident inspector at the WNP-2 plant near Richland, Wash. He then transferred as a resident inspector at the River Bend nuclear plant near Baton Rouge, La.
Mr. Proulx was a shift test engineer at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard near San Francisco, Calif., from October 1984 until joining the NRC. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Notre Dame in 1984. Mr. Proulx and his wife are the parents of three children. They will reside in Santa Maria.
He joins Don Allen, resident inspector, at the two-unit site operated by the Pacific Gas and Electric Co.
