Officials from the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Duke Power Company are scheduled to meet at the Oconee nuclear plant site near Seneca, South Carolina at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, to discuss company efforts to improve performance at the plant and the status of the plant's emergency power supply.

The meeting is open to observation by interested members of the public, and NRC officials will be available at its conclusion to answer questions from observers.

The meeting is part of a series of bi-monthly meetings between the NRC and Duke to discuss plant performance and other issues of current interest at Oconee.
