NOTE TO EDITORS:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes has scheduled a technical meeting April 10 and 11 in Rockville, Maryland.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. April 10, and 8:00 a.m. on April 11, in Room 2B3 of the NRC's Two White Flint North building at 11545 Rockville Pike. Topics to be discussed will include the Commission's Staff Requirements Memo on "Materials/Medical Oversight;" the NRC's Medical Policy Statement of 1979; criteria and racking of medical procedures by risk; regulatory use of industry standards; misadministrations; the advisory committee process; and status reports on proposed rulemaking and guidance documents.
Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, are described in a Notice of Meeting published in the March 26 edition of the Federal Register.
