Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Lisle, Illinois, have announced the assignment of Christine Lipa as the agency's Senior Resident Inspector at the Duane Arnold nuclear power plant in Palo, Iowa.

Lipa joined the NRC in 1990 as a reactor inspector at the Region III Office. Most recently, she had been a resident inspector at the Duane Arnold plant. Prior to joining the NRC, she worked as an engineer and section head for the U.S. Navy at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in New Hampshire. She received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a master's degree in business administration from the Keller Graduate School. Lipa and her husband and two daughters reside in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
