AT GRAND GULF NUCLEAR PLANT
Jennifer Dixon-Herrity has assumed the post of senior resident inspector for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station near Port Gibson, Miss. She will report for duty on June 16.
Prior to this assignment, Ms. Dixon-Herrity served as a resident inspector at the Wolf Creek nuclear plant near Burlington, Kansas, since 1994, and at the Waterford 3 nuclear plant near Taft, Louisiana, from 1992 to 1994. She joined the NRC as a reactor engineer in 1990.
Ms. Dixon-Herrity earned a B.S. in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y., in 1985, and worked as a marine engineer before joining the NRC. She attended high school in Montville, Conn., and her family resides in Uncasville, Conn.
Ms. Dixon-Herrity will live in the area near Grand Gulf with her husband, Thomas, and their children, Patrick, 5, and Shannon, 3.
