No. 96-028 February 19, 1997
Three groups of reports, updated each business day, are now available on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's internet web site.
The three reports and their web addresses are:
Plant Status Report, which provides the operating status of each commercial nuclear power plant in the United States, based on information provided each day by the plants (http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/DAILY/psr.htm);
Daily Event Report, which includes reports of incidents, violations, and other items of interest which require prompt reports to the NRC by licensees, including nuclear power plants and users of radioactive materials (http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/DAILY/der.htm); and
NRC Daily Report, which covers information prepared by the various NRC offices (http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/DAILY/dr.htm).
The reports may also be accessed at: http://www.nrc.gov/NRC/news.html and saved to a user's computer as text files.
The three reports are available as a single file bundle in a compressed format for downloading (http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/DAILY/dr.zip). Previous reports are also on the web site, beginning with the February 3 reports.
These reports have previously been available from the NRC's online file library at Fedworld, the federal government's online system, and they will temporarily continue to be available there. The toll-free telephone number for computer modem access to the NRC at Fedworld is 800/303-9672. The reports are in the NRC-PDR file library.
These reports may be obtained through a no-charge e-mail subscription. The reports are transmitted by e-mail each business day. To subscribe to this service, send an e-mail message to listproc@nrc.gov with no subject and with the following message: subscribe dr-nrr yourfirstname yourlast name
